unfortunately, several hard drives broke on one of our picture servers last week.
Before you worry:
No pictures were lost or harmed in any way. Our picture servers are configured in a way, that they can handle a breakdown like that (several hard drives with the same data, "RAID" is the technical term for this). Also, our picture servers are completely mirrored.
In this particular case, we will have to take precautionary technical measures on one of our picture servers. This will take about 3 days.
The bad news is, it won't be possible to upload pictures and other files for three days. Viewing them will be possible nonetheless.
With things like these it's hard to estimate how long it will take. Should we realize the process will take longer than three days, I'll make sure to let you know as soon as possible.
Sorry for this inconvenience. We're looking for solutions to reduce these problems in the future.
