regarding your Problems:
1 I can´t update my first page. I´m going to change in the text.
Normally the first page is named "Home" or "main page". Any page can be your "main page".

select your page and then select the option of "main site" for this page
2 I have downloaded Pictures to my gallery but the Pictures are´nt there.
You should upload your pictures first, and then you can ad the pictures to your site.
